- **Peec AI is software your team runs.** It tracks how AI answers describe your brand and ranks the fixes, and your team carries them out.
- **OnlyAEO is the AEO platform that tracks AI answers and creates the content to change them.** On a managed plan, our team runs it and produces the articles and videos for your team to approve, and on the Authority plan it also earns mentions on other sites.
- **Choose by spare hours.** If people on your team have time each week to act on a tool's findings, Peec AI fits. If nobody does, pick a platform that also creates the content, and let our team run it.
- **You can keep both.** Our content engine imports Peec reports, so the gaps Peec finds become our team's brief.

## Should your team run Peec AI in-house or use a platform that also creates the content?

Run Peec AI in-house if someone on your team will act on what the tracking finds. Choose a platform that also creates the content, with our team running it for you, when tracking is the easy part and acting on it is where your plan stalls.

Acting on it is most of the job. Google's [AI optimization guide](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/ai-optimization-guide) says content people find unique, compelling and useful will likely shape a site's presence in generative AI search in the long run more than any other suggestion in the guide.

A visibility tool tells you where that content is missing. A person still has to write it, publish it and get other sites to cite it.

OnlyAEO is an AEO platform that tracks where AI names your brand and creates the content to change it, which puts us on the acting side of that split. The wider cost and skills tradeoff is in our piece on [running AEO in-house or through an agency](/blog/in-house-vs-agency-aeo-the-real-cost-and-capability-tradeoff).

## What does Peec AI give your team?

Peec AI gives your team a measurement layer for AI search. Its own docs say it shows how your brand appears in AI search and what you can do to influence that visibility.

- **Three measures.** [Peec AI's introduction](https://docs.peec.ai/intro-to-peec-ai) says it tracks how visible your brand is, the position it holds when named, and how positively AI describes it.
- **Source analysis.** Peec calls the sources AI models cite your best opportunity to improve, because those sources shape how the models respond.
- **Data you can move.** The same introduction lists exports, a Data Studio connector and an API for analysis inside your existing stack.
- **An MCP server.** Peec's MCP page says the server connects tools like Claude and ChatGPT to your Peec data so you can ask questions about your projects. Its enterprise page adds that Peec MCP is free on every paid plan.

## What do you still have to do yourself after Peec AI shows the gaps?

You still do the work itself. Peec AI ranks the fixes and points you to a brief, and a person on your team carries them out.

Peec's Actions documentation says Actions turn your source and prompt data into a ranked list of specific improvements. They come in four groups: Site audit, Owned, Earned and Correct content. The execution step tells you to follow the brief and tick off each step once it is done.

Peec also has a content optimization editor. Its docs say the editor turns an Action for one of your pages into a draft you edit inside Peec AI.

An in-house week with Peec AI usually includes jobs like these:

1. **Keep the prompt set current.** Add and prune the buyer questions Peec runs, and update the competitor list as your market shifts.
2. **Read the daily movement.** Decide which drops deserve a response and which are noise.
3. **Work the Owned and Correct content Actions.** Draft or rewrite pages, get them through internal review and publish them on your site.
4. **Work the Earned Actions.** Pitch publications, update listings and reviews, and take part in the forums AI cites.
5. **Clear the Site audit items.** Find developer time for the technical fixes.
6. **Report upward.** Turn the numbers into a case leadership will keep funding.

Someone has to own all of that. On most marketing teams, that person already has a full plate.

## What does OnlyAEO include each month when our team runs it for you?

On a managed plan, our team runs the platform for you and does the jobs on that list. We write and publish the articles, make the videos and run the monthly plan, and on the Authority plan we also earn the mentions.

The work follows four steps:

1. **Learn the brand.** At the start we learn your voice, buyers and facts, then connect publishing to your site.
2. **Report.** Each month a fresh report shows where AI names your brand and who it names instead, and every gap becomes work for our team.
3. **Create.** We produce articles, listings and videos for you to approve.
4. **Review together.** We go over the results with you and plan the following month. The full process is on our [how it works](/how-it-works) page.

What the work covers:

- **Articles on your site.** Researched and fact-checked, written in your voice and laid out in your site's design.
- **YouTube videos.** Planned, scripted and packaged for your channel every month, since AI reads YouTube as well.
- **Other languages.** French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian and more, researched and checked to the same standard as English.
- **Mentions on other sites (Authority plan).** Monthly PR, articles placed on other sites and community seeding get you named in the reviews, listings, forums and publications AI already reads. A ranked list shows the cited sites in your space that leave you out, and suggests a play for each: a guest post, a partnership, a listing or a review.
- **A website health check.** We make sure every AI engine can read your site. For Google, that starts with indexing: a page that cannot show in ordinary Search with a snippet is not eligible for its AI features either, per the same guide. Our guide to [sites that block AI crawlers](/blog/the-robotstxt-mistake-that-blocks-ai-crawlers-and-how-to-fix-it) covers the most common fix.

There are two plans. Foundation covers the monthly report, articles, videos and strategy; Authority adds a second editorial review on every piece, more video, and the outreach that earns mentions on other sites. We settle which plan fits, and its monthly price, with you on a short call.

## How does OnlyAEO keep the content true to your brand?

Every piece is written from one record of your company and has to pass five checks before it goes live.

### Start from your own facts

Our team builds that record, the Context Graph, for each client from tools you already use, such as Slack, Google Docs, Google Drive, YouTube, WordPress, Framer, Gmail, Google Search Console and your decks.

The Context Graph holds your facts, voice, buyers and competitors, and the claims you are and are not allowed to make. Change a fact once, a price for example, and every new piece picks it up. When something has never been written down, our team asks you.

The research step puts your buyer's own question to ChatGPT and Claude first. We read each page their answers cite in full, and each search they ran turns into a section of the article.

### Pass five checks before publishing

1. **Claim check.** Each number has to match an evidence row, and unsupported claims come out.
2. **Humanizer.** The draft is edited into your brand's voice.
3. **Link validator.** A single dead link stops publishing.
4. **Independent score.** A separate scorer has to rate it 85 or higher.
5. **Your approval.** A person on your team signs off.

## How do Peec AI and OnlyAEO track AI visibility across engines?

Peec AI checks the AI platforms your plan covers, and your team reads what comes back. Our platform checks a fixed list of engines on whatever schedule you pick, and our team's work reaches more assistants than that list.

Peec's docs say it runs your prompts every day across AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, then studies the patterns over time. The number of prompts, models and projects depends on the plan, as [Peec's pricing page](https://peec.ai/pricing) lists. The table below shows what the Starter plan includes.

On our side, the measurement feeds the monthly work:

- **A set engine list.** Our platform runs ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and Grok engines, and every prompt runs twice on each one. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini run with web search on by default.
- **Recommendations counted on their own.** We separate answers where AI recommends your brand from answers that only mention it in text or only link to it as a source.
- **Answers you can recheck.** Each answer is stored verbatim next to the exact prompt behind it, so a colleague can rerun that prompt in ChatGPT or Claude and compare.
- **Pipeline as well as visibility.** LLM Attribution shows which AI answers send you pipeline.

The work itself covers the assistants your buyers use, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews, Grok, Meta AI (Muse), DeepSeek and Instinct.

Every figure from either side is a reading of sampled answers. Google's AI optimization guide states the limit: "No third-party tool has access to our internal ranking or AI systems." Our method is in [how we measure AI visibility](/blog/how-onlyaeo-measures-ai-visibility-citation-tracking).

## Peec AI vs OnlyAEO: features, plans and who does the work

The table covers the points buyers ask about next, several of which the sections above leave out.

## How we tested this comparison

On 15 October 2026 we put this page's main question to ChatGPT and Claude, with web search on, through the engine check described above. The exact query was: "Should we use Peec AI to run AI search visibility in-house, or hire a managed AEO service like OnlyAEO?"

The check logs every search each engine ran and every page it cited. Here is what that log showed:

- **ChatGPT went to the source.** Its logged searches included "site:peec.ai pricing" and "OnlyAEO managed AEO service Only AEO", and every page it cited sat on peec.ai or onlyaeo.com.
- **Claude leaned on third parties.** It logged fewer searches, "Peec AI pricing plans" and "OnlyAEO managed AEO service", and cited review blogs and a community forum thread next to our homepage.
- **Both named us.** Each engine put OnlyAEO among the options, so this page spells out who each option suits.

So every Peec AI fact on this page comes from Peec's own website and docs, read the same week. None comes from the reviews an assistant might cite. The weak point is sample size: a single run per engine.

## What results can you expect, and how fast?

With OnlyAEO, the first measurable results usually take 60 days or more. Peec's quickstart says you get your first visibility insights within 24 hours. That data shows where you stand; moving it takes the slower work described above.

Two published client results show what that work can do:

- **[FastTrackr AI](/case-studies/fasttrackr-ai).** FastTrackr AI started at #338 of 458 brands with 0.1% AI visibility. In about 100 days it reached #3 among the most-cited brands in its category and #4 among cited sources.
- **[New York edibles retailer](/case-studies/new-york-edibles-retailer).** The retailer started at #50 with 1.5% AI visibility and climbed to 25% and #4 of 374 brands. Its own website became the source AI cited most in the category, ahead of New York State's official site.

## Keep Peec AI and add a platform that acts on it

If your team already runs Peec AI and likes it, keep it. Our content engine imports any AI visibility report, Peec reports included, and reads it in 20 to 60 seconds. It takes Excel, CSV, PDF, Word, Markdown, HTML or plain text, or a share link.

Peec keeps measuring and your team approves what we make. Your Peec numbers the following month show whether the work moved anything.

This split suits a company with an analyst who enjoys the data but no writers, video producers or PR people to act on it.

## When Peec AI fits better

Pick Peec AI when your team wants to own AEO and has people with the time to run it.

- **You have in-house operators.** Your marketers want to run AEO from a dashboard themselves and can block out time each week for Actions.
- **You watch the numbers daily.** Your team wants to see each run as it lands and react fast.
- **Your whole team should be in the tool.** Peec's pricing page says every plan includes unlimited users so an entire marketing team can work together.
- **You want the data in your own systems.** Your analysts plan to query Peec data through its API or MCP server.
- **You run many clients.** Peec's agency page says each client is an isolated project with its own prompts, competitors and channels.

## When OnlyAEO fits better

Choose OnlyAEO when you want the content created as well as tracked, and have nobody free to run another tool.

- **No spare headcount.** You would rather approve finished work than hire people to produce it.
- **You need more than articles.** Your plan also calls for video, other languages and mentions on other sites.
- **You want a dedicated team.** Each client gets a team of its own.
- **Accuracy is the worry.** You want every claim traced to a fact you gave us before anything goes live.
