OnlyAEO or First Page Sage for GEO? How to Choose

OnlyAEO works only on AI answers; First Page Sage pairs SEO with GEO and reports on pipeline. Compare methods, reporting and content checks to pick an agency.

Everything said here about First Page Sage comes from its own public pages, as they read on 14 October 2026.

How do OnlyAEO and First Page Sage differ for GEO work?

Both are agencies whose people do the work, so the choice is about scope and reporting. First Page Sage describes itself as "an SEO + GEO agency". OnlyAEO is an AEO and GEO agency, and our reports track how AI engines mention and cite you.

  • One team for both channels. First Page Sage says it coordinates the GEO campaign with your other marketing efforts and ROI targets.
  • A team only for AI answers. You keep whoever runs your SEO today and add our team for the AI side.

So the first thing to settle is whether someone already owns your SEO.

What is First Page Sage's approach to GEO?

Most of First Page Sage's GEO elements concern third-party sources and reputation; the one that does not is your site's search authority. It calls the service the first such offering and lists 6 elements.

The elements below come from its GEO service page, in its own order.

Its 6 GEO elements

  • List creation and optimization. It calls appearing in highly ranked list articles the largest factor in which companies chatbots recommend.
  • Database inclusion. It says most LLMs train on established databases, so being listed there makes a suggestion more likely.
  • Website authority. Google and Bing rankings, covered in the SEO section below.
  • Online review management. Keeping review scores positive.
  • Achievement publicization. Awards, accreditations, company size and usage statistics, which it says affect how AI orders recommendations.
  • Social sentiment monitoring. It says ChatGPT has begun including user sentiment about businesses in its recommendations.

Its AEO service

A separate AEO page lists 6 elements, including an audit of how prospects use answer engines, schema markup, and monitoring across search and answer engines, with strategy refined on conversion data.

Agentic search optimization

First Page Sage calls agentic search optimization (ASO) the successor to its 2023 GEO work, built around 3 stages an AI agent passes through:

  1. Retrieval. First Page Sage maps what AI currently believes about you and moves weak beliefs to strong with on-site and off-site content.
  2. Evaluation. It builds a suitability matrix of who you are right for, plus pages that state when you are the best fit and when you are not.
  3. Action. A feed for ecommerce, so an agent can read price and stock and check out, or an API for SaaS, so it can sign up or provision an account.

What does a First Page Sage engagement look like?

Its SaaS and ecommerce engagements open with a planning month, then move to monthly production by its writers.

  • Planning month. Month 1 brings 3 audits (SEO, GEO and conversion) plus technical SEO work.
  • Weekly input. Its B2B SaaS page describes weekly 30-minute interviews with your product leads and a knowledge base built from your docs, security pages and case studies.
  • Monthly deliverables. Both pages say 7 deliverables on combined SEO and GEO engagements and 6 on GEO alone. For SaaS, that means use case and industry pages, an original research piece meant to earn links, a comparison article and brand authority PR.
  • The team. The process page lists an SEO strategist, writers, an editor, graphic artists, web developers, a reporting specialist and a campaign manager. The campaign manager is your main point of contact.
  • Contract terms. The process page says typical campaigns last 2 to 5 years. The SaaS, ecommerce and ASO pages say month to month, the SaaS page with no annual lock-in. Ask which terms apply to the service you would buy.

What does OnlyAEO's team deliver each month?

Our team delivers finished work, and your team approves each piece before it goes live. The service covers monthly AI visibility analytics, articles checked for facts and published on your own site to match your voice and design, YouTube videos, other-language articles, help earning mentions on sites AI reads, and a check that every AI engine can read your site.

We start from a 30-minute call, samples of your strongest writing and the facts AI should state correctly about you. Each client has a dedicated team and a regular review with the client's own team. The cycle:

  1. Baseline. A free AI audit records where you start.
  2. The month's report. A new report shows where AI engines name your brand.
  3. Production. Our team produces the month's articles, videos and listings, each waiting on your approval.
  4. Retrospective. We go over what worked and set next month's priorities.

We plan and script videos for your YouTube channel and package them each month, since AI engines read YouTube as well. Articles can run in almost any language, such as Indonesian, German or Arabic, researched and checked the same way as English ones. Our process page shows each step.

Do list articles, reviews and web mentions drive AI recommendations?

Not provably. What other sites say about you lines up with AI Overview mentions in Ahrefs' data below, with the caveat Ahrefs itself gives. Both agencies still work off-site, but they pick targets differently.

List articles, databases and reviews, from First Page Sage's elements above, are all third-party sources. Its company page also names online PR that attracts links and citations to build trust with AI search platforms.

Ahrefs analyzed 75,000 brands to see which search factors go with brand mentions in Google's AI Overviews. Branded web mentions correlated at 0.664, branded anchors at 0.527, branded search volume at 0.392, Domain Rating at 0.326 and backlinks at 0.218.

Brands in the top quartile for web mentions averaged 169 AI Overview mentions, against 14 in the quartile below. Ahrefs warns that correlation is not causation and calls every factor it studied a moderate to very weak correlation.

Our off-site work starts from the sites AI already cites in your category. You get a ranked list of those that have not mentioned you yet, and for each one we name the play we would run: a review, a listing, a partnership or a guest post. We then work on them through monthly PR, guest publishing and community seeding.

Does SEO still matter once you invest in GEO?

Yes. Google says the best practices for SEO remain relevant for AI Overviews and AI Mode. First Page Sage's website authority element rests on its view that high Google and Bing rankings strongly influence AI recommendations.

Google's Search Central page on AI features says "There's also no special schema.org structured data that you need to add". Google sets no extra requirements for AI Overviews or AI Mode; to show up as a supporting link, a page has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet.

ChatGPT has its own gate. According to OpenAI's bot documentation, ChatGPT's search features find websites through OAI-SearchBot, and a site that opts out of that crawler is left out of ChatGPT search answers. Our guide to the robots.txt mistake shows how to test yours.

The first section covers who owns the SEO work. Our site says good SEO still helps AI find you, and our answer pages go on your own domain with guardrails that protect the search presence you already have.

How does each one measure and report AI visibility?

The reports answer different questions. First Page Sage's lead with business results; ours lead with what each AI engine said about you.

First Page Sage's reports

  • SaaS clients see demo requests, trials or MQLs at the top, with AI platform reputation second. Traffic and rankings are included as inputs.
  • Ecommerce clients see organic revenue and transactions first, with revenue attribution set up in month 1, and AI shopping recommendations second.
  • ASO clients start with a measurement of what the major AI platforms believe about them, dimension by dimension.

The AI platforms its GEO page names are in the table below.

OnlyAEO's reports

  • Models run. Our platform can run Grok and paired versions of ChatGPT (standard and mini), Claude (Sonnet and Opus), Gemini (Flash and Pro) and DeepSeek (Chat and Reasoner); the default set is ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, with web search.
  • Recommendations apart from mentions. An answer that recommends you is counted apart from one that names you in passing or cites you only as a link.
  • Answers you can rerun. Each answer is stored word for word with its exact prompt, so your team can rerun it in ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Monthly numbers. Mention rate, LLM recall frequency and citation share, plus who AI names instead of you and what we will do next.

Each metric is defined in our AI visibility measurement guide.

How is content checked before it is published?

Both agencies check claims before publishing. We query the engines before writing and score the draft after it.

First Page Sage's SaaS page says its writers are in-house employees, and that feature, integration and pricing claims are checked against documentation before anything ships. Its team list includes an editor (see the engagement section).

Our writing starts from a Context Graph: a single record of your company that every article, video and post draws on. It pulls from Slack, Gmail, your decks, YouTube, Google Drive and Docs, Search Console, Framer and WordPress, and holds your facts, voice, buyers and what you may claim. Anything missing comes back to you as a question from our team.

Before drafting, we put your buyer's question to Claude and ChatGPT, read every page their answers cite in full, and give every query they searched its own section. Then 5 checks run:

  1. Facts against sources. A number with no matching evidence row is cut.
  2. Voice pass. A humanizer rewrites the draft in your brand's voice.
  3. Link test. Publishing stops while any link is dead.
  4. Second scorer. A separate scorer has to give the piece 85 or more.
  5. Your sign-off. The approval step from the monthly cycle above.

How long until you see results?

Plan in months with either agency, and compare like with like. First Page Sage's SaaS page says first real pipeline typically shows in month 3 or 4. On our side, the first measurable results usually arrive after 60 days or more.

We offer no results guarantee and do not promise specific rankings or citations. Before signing with anyone, ask what the first monthly report will show; our list of questions to put to any AEO agency helps.
