What Is the Best AEO Platform for E-commerce Brands in 2026?

Eight AEO platforms compared for e-commerce brands: product-level tracking in AI shopping answers, prices checked 30 October 2026, engines, content and how to test.

OnlyAEO publishes this page and OnlyAEO is our product. Prices were checked on each vendor's own pricing page on 30 October 2026.

For the general version of this guide, see what is the best AEO platform in 2026. If you want the metrics first, read how to measure AI visibility for e-commerce products and categories.

What does an e-commerce brand need from an AEO platform?

An e-commerce brand needs an AEO platform that tracks individual products, not just the brand name, in the answers shoppers get when they ask AI what to buy. Six criteria matter most.

  1. Product-level tracking. A brand can look visible at category level while losing individual product slots. You need a score per product or SKU.
  2. Shopping surfaces covered. ChatGPT shopping results, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and retailer assistants each pick products differently. Check which of these each plan covers.
  3. Where AI sends the buyer. AI may recommend your product and then send the shopper to a marketplace or another retailer. You need to see which merchants it points to.
  4. The traits AI compares on. Price, materials, sizes, ingredients and reviews drive product picks. The platform should show which traits matter and whether AI states yours correctly.
  5. Fixes that reach your pages. Buying guides, comparison pages and richer product facts change recommendations. Decide whether the platform writes them or only lists them.
  6. Store connection and price fit. A Shopify brand with 30 products and a retailer with 30,000 SKUs need different plans.

How did we compare these platforms?

We read each vendor's pricing and shopping-feature pages on 30 October 2026 and applied the six criteria above. We did not connect a store or sign up for paid plans. Engine lists are as each vendor states them; shopping-specific coverage is noted where the vendor describes it.

Which AEO platform should an e-commerce brand choose?

OnlyAEO Commerce: best if you want to see where your products land and win the recommendation

OnlyAEO is an AEO platform. Its Commerce feature shows where your products appear when shoppers ask AI what to buy, why the models pick what they pick, and where you lose to competitors. You can run it yourself, or our team runs it for you.

  • What Commerce shows: a visibility score and appearance count for every product, your median position against competitors product by product, gainers and losers week to week, the traits AI compares on, the merchants and marketplaces AI sends buyers to, and a category leaderboard of your share of the answer.
  • What it does next: fixes ranked by impact, then the content engine drafts the pages that answer what AI asks about your products. Every piece passes five checks (facts against sources, voice, tested links, an independent quality score of 85+, and your approval), so nothing goes live until you approve it. On the Authority plan, we also work on mentions in third-party reviews, listings and directories.
  • Getting started: connect your catalog or store, choose the categories and prompts you care about, and pull data into your own tools through MCP and API.
  • Engines: the platform tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek and Grok. The content is meant to help across all major assistants, including Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, but those are not tracked in the dashboard.
  • Price: Price on a short call. No public self-serve price yet, and no free plan.
  • Proof: a multi-location New York edibles retailer went from 1.5% to 25% AI visibility, #4 of 374 brands, and its own website became the most-cited source in its category, per our case study. That is a retail result driven by local buyer questions, not a product-catalog result, and it is not a forecast for your store.
  • Limits: 5 engines tracked, fewer than Goodie's agentic commerce list or AthenaHQ's 11, and no Alexa or Google AI Mode tracking. Younger, with fewer third-party reviews.
  • Skip it if: you have an in-house content team and only need shopping data, or Google AI Mode and Perplexity tracking is your main need.

Goodie: best if you need SKU-level visibility across agentic shopping assistants

Goodie's Pro plan, $999/mo, lists "SKU-level agentic commerce visibility", and its Agentic Commerce tracking names ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Alexa and Sparky. Core is $295/mo for 110 prompts on 5 models, with a 7-day trial. Goodie also has a Content Studio and blog generation.

  • Strength: the widest named set of shopping assistants of the tools here.
  • Limit: SKU-level commerce sits on the $999/mo Pro plan, not Core.
  • Skip it if: your budget is under $1,000 a month.

Profound Shopping: best if you are a large retailer focused on ChatGPT Shopping

Profound's Shopping feature tracks ChatGPT Shopping at SKU level: which products ChatGPT surfaces and for which prompts, how it describes product attributes, Shopping Mode Rate (how often category questions trigger shopping results) and a Merchant Layer showing which retailers get the checkout. Its pricing page lists ChatGPT Shopping on Enterprise, which is custom-priced.

  • Strength: deep ChatGPT Shopping metrics, including where the checkout goes.
  • Limit: the Shopping page describes ChatGPT only, and there is no published price.
  • Skip it if: you are a smaller brand or need other shopping assistants covered. See our OnlyAEO vs Profound comparison.

AthenaHQ: best if you run a Shopify or Webflow store and want broad tracking

AthenaHQ Starter is $295/mo for 3,600 credits across 11 models, with a Shopify and Webflow integration and a content optimisation agent. A free Essential plan covers 5 engines with 300 credits.

  • Strength: many engines and a store integration on the entry plan.
  • Limit: product-level shopping metrics are not described on the pricing page, and it optimises content rather than writing it.
  • Skip it if: you want buying guides and comparison pages produced for you.

Scrunch: best if AI agents struggle to read your product pages

Scrunch Starter is $300/mo, or $250/mo billed annually, for 350 prompts on 7 engines including Meta. Its AXP product serves an AI-friendly version of your site, which matters if heavy scripts or apps hide product facts from crawlers.

  • Strength: a technical fix plus wide engine coverage.
  • Limit: no shopping or SKU features on its pricing page.
  • Skip it if: your pages are readable and your gap is content.

Peec AI: best if you sell in several countries

Peec AI Starter is $95/mo for 1 country; Pro is $245/mo for 3 countries and 150 prompts. It tracks brand visibility and the sources AI cites, with ranked actions.

  • Strength: multi-country tracking at a published price.
  • Limit: no product-level shopping metrics described, and no new content.
  • Skip it if: you need per-SKU data. See our OnlyAEO vs Peec AI comparison.

Semrush AI Visibility: best if your e-commerce SEO already runs in Semrush

The Base plan is $99/mo per domain, billed annually, for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.

  • Strength: AI and SEO data in a tool your team may know.
  • Limit: 25 prompts and brand-level tracking only.
  • Skip it if: you need product-level answers.

Otterly.AI: best if you are a small store testing AEO

Otterly.AI Lite is $29/mo ($25/mo billed annually) for 15 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.

  • Strength: the cheapest way to see whether AI names your store at all.
  • Limit: 15 prompts covers a handful of products; no drafting.
  • Skip it if: you have many products to track. See our OnlyAEO vs Otterly.AI comparison.

Which one should you pick, by situation?

  • You want product visibility and the pages written to win it: OnlyAEO Commerce.
  • You need SKU data across Alexa and other shopping assistants: Goodie Pro.
  • You are a large retailer focused on ChatGPT Shopping: Profound Enterprise.
  • You run Shopify or Webflow and will act on the data yourself: AthenaHQ.
  • AI cannot read your product pages well: Scrunch.
  • You sell in several countries: Peec AI.
  • You are a small store testing the idea: Otterly.AI.

How should an e-commerce brand test an AEO platform before signing?

Test it on your hero products and the questions shoppers really ask, not on your brand name.

  1. Pick 10 hero products and 3 categories. Choose the products that drive most revenue and the categories where you want to be recommended.
  2. Write shopping prompts the way shoppers type them. "Best [product] under $[price]", "[product] for [need]", "[your product] vs [rival product]", "gift for [person] who likes [thing]" and "where to buy [product]".
  3. Check product level, not just brand level. Ask each platform to show which of your products appear, how often, and in what position, against named competitors.
  4. See where AI sends the shopper. Note whether answers link to your store, a marketplace or another retailer.
  5. Compare AI's product facts with your catalog. Flag wrong prices, sizes, materials or ingredients, and missing variants. These are your first fixes.
  6. Ask what would be published next. A buying guide, a comparison page, richer product facts, or a review push. Ask who would do it and see a sample.
  7. Track AI-referred visits and revenue. Agree how you will measure sessions and orders from AI before the trial ends. Our e-commerce measurement guide covers GA4 and Shopify.
